For a short shining moment in 2005, Eric took on the editor's mantle at the Tehachapi News. Among other tasks while in that position, he decided that the editor should write a weekly column and so, for six weeks, the poor people of Tehachapi had to either skip the Letters-to-the-Editor section or risk scarring themselves with the rants from an unbalanced man in a tie.
